Rules for compliance with requests for data of public interest

The HNAM fulfils its obligation according to the stipulations of Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-determination and Freedom of Information. 

The Hungarian National Asset Management Inc. responds to requests for data of public interest within 15 days upon receiving the request.  In case the request is extensive or concerns a vast number of data, the 15 days deadline can be prolonged once with another 15 days. In such a case, the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc. informs the client on the prolongation within 8 days from the reception of the request (Based on Art. 29. of the Infotrv.)   

The Cabinet holds the responsibility of fulfilling the requests for data of public interest submitted to the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc.

Possibilities for submission of a request for data of public interest

1.  Personally: At the Customer Service of the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc.

Opening time: Working days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday between 8.00. -17.00, Friday between 8.00-14.30)

May we draw attention to the fact that data of general interest concerning the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc. is directly available on the website of the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc.  ( www.mnv.hu ).

Legal remedy

In case of a violation of law in relation to exercising the right of a claimant with respect to data of general interest, the claimant can turn to the National Data Protection and Information Freedom Authority (1024 Budapest, Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 22/C.), or to the Budapest Metropolitan Court (1363 Budapest, Pf.:16. -1055 Budapest, Markó u. 27.), when the request has been expressively denied or within 30 days following expiry of the 15 days deadline without fulfilment.
